Don’t let them catch you or you will get trapped in sexy time. Destroy them either with your standard blaster or with one of four pickups.

Every so often you will reach a checkpoint with a trader, who offers health, shield, and pickups. The only other way to buff up is through pick-ups. Nothing else there to help you out while jumping from stage to stage.
